Our team of car rental experts prides itself on delivering the most personalized service in all of Charleston. The business of rental cars is much more than metal and fiberglass to us – we are in the business of makeing people’s day. Our method of delivery just happens to be rental cars.
One of my favorite car rental stories starts with a group of travelers from NY who wanted to rent 3 15-passenger vans for one week over Memorial Day. This was a simple request – except they were arriving by train at 3 am on a Sunday Morning.
Our car rental team worked with the train station staff to drop off 3 passenger vans in a secured lot the night before. A Triangle Rent A Car staff member and a friend got out of bed very early to meet the group at Amtrak with their rental car delivery.
The rentals were signed for and the tired travelers boarded the vans. Since the New Yorkers weren’t familiar with the area, one of our rental car agents led them to a waffle house near their destination. The group had a great time enjoying the beach for a week and loved the service from our rental car team!

Rich in history and often associated with the Civil War, Charleston, South Carolina has been charming visitors for over three hundred years. Charleston is South Carolina’s oldest and most revered city and is a haven to summer visitors and winter travelers alike. You’ll find that there is never a dull moment in Charleston, as there are numerous events, sights, and activities to keep everyone entertained.
Since Charleston was founded over three centuries ago, it should come as no surprise that the city features many historic landmarks and attractions. Plantations, homes, and landscapes make up some of the more popular historical sites. For example, the Hampton Plantation State Park is a very popular tourist attraction as President George Washington once visited the mansion. It is free to visit the grounds but if you want to take a tour of the prestigious mansion, tickets are in order.
To get a great look at pre-Civil War Charleston, you will want to visit Drayton Hall. Its founder, John Drayton, spared the mansion when he notified Union troops that the mansion was serving as a hospital for those afflicted with smallpox. The plan worked and the mansion breezed through the Civil War without damage.
Other points of interests include the South Carolina Aquarium, the Fort Sumter National Monument, Rainbow Row, Middleton Place, the Aiken Rhett House, the magnificent Angel Oak tree that stands 65 feet in height and is estimated to be over 1400 years old, and the Nathaniel Russell House.
Finally, golf enthusiasts will be delighted with the wonderful courses available in Charleston. Some of the most exemplary include the County Club of Charleston, Crooked Oaks, Harbor Course at Wild Dunes, Ocean Winds, and Pine Forest Country Club.
