Overheard at the Dealership
If someone called me up today and told me that I had won a brand new SUV, I would probably decline the offer. There’s always a catch. Besides, are they going to pay for the gasoline it’s going to cost to fill it up? This morning, I had to bring my Jeep into the dealership yet AGAIN because when I had the inspection done, I was told that my transmission fluid was leaking. While at the dealership, I overheard another customer talking to the manager and saying, “You guys must really be hurting to sell some of these SUVs….I feel for you!”
Up, Up and Away!
I still cannot help but wonder, if the price of oil is now down to under $85 a barrel, then why am I still paying $3.69 at the pump? Yesterday, I saw only two gas stations with prices around $2.85. I almost got into an accident doing a double take. It feels like forever since I’ve seen the price of gasoline under $3 a gallon.
Getting Ready for the Holidays
With the holidays around the corner, the price of gas coupled with an economy that is barely moving at a snail’s pace gives plenty of cause for concern for those who are eager to visit with family and friends. How are we going to afford it? Will the presidential election make things better or worse? One thing’s for sure, there won’t be as many of us receiving gift-wrapped vehicles under the tree this year…
