Located in Raleigh, North Carolina the corporate office of Triangle Rent A Car supports the daily activities of twenty-nine branch locations spanning four states. The corporate office is responsible for sales and marketing activities for all locations as well as accounting and fleet and claims management. Our headquarters is also home to our reservation center where the staff acts as an extension of each of our branch locations providing customers with timely support and unparalleled customer service. Our commitment to customer satisfaction starts at our headquarters with our President, Frank Colonna and permeates to all of our employees.
Having worked for a small family-run hotel since the age of 14, Frank Colonna learned at an early age the importance of customer service. Frank also learned that he enjoyed striving for great service and that he would be better off taking care of his own customers rather than working for someone else.
In June of 1978 Frank’s dream was realized with the opening of his first location with modest means against a field of giants. According to Frank:
“I knew we were David and the others were Goliath, but I believed servicing the neighborhood market and doing a great job in doing so would be a success someday. The other operators focused on the airports, I focused on the neighborhood markets – offering them the kind of service and recognition people enjoy and that keeps them coming back.”
Frank was right. That small first location grew and soon other locations followed, adhering to the same philosophy Frank had when he started alone in that first location. Triangle Rent A Car has been very fortunate as a company to have such great customers.
In order to serve the growing customer base at his ever expanding locations, Frank knew he had to have great employees who care as he did about his customers. Today, there are over 380 employees and Frank personally assures you that each of them has the same connection he feels about our customers and same way he did almost 50 years ago when he started working for that small hotel.
